Supanova Comic Con Perth

I’ve just finished up an awesome weekend at Perth Supanova Comic Con!

I got to see some incredible cosplay, chat with Kevin Eastman (co-creator of the Ninja Turtles!!), catch up with my bud Brenton McKenna, get a hand-delivered fan letter from Super Mario and hang out with the wonderful authors Meg Caddy and Renae Hayward (my gorgeous wife)!

I presented a solo session (a ‘Supanova Seminar’) where I talked about making my picture book Stellarphant and my graphic novel series Secret Agent Mole. I also appeared on a panel with Meg Caddy and Jo Riccioni, talking about creating compelling characters. 

Massive thanks to the Supanova crew (including Paige for keeping us on track and organised), the awesome volunteers (especially Jess and Bec), and QBD books staff for their bookselling expertise!
