SEPT 23, 26 – Super Secret Short Story Comic Strips (for kids) **SOLD OUT**
Join me for hands-on writing and drawing workshops making comic strip stories. Your subject – secret agents!
I’ll show you how to draw Max Mole and other characters from my new graphic novel series Secret Agent Mole, and guide you in creating your own short story comics. Invent villains, devise gadgets, and draw dramatic battles. Who will win in your comic? You decide.

SEPT 24 – live comics-reading event (**SOLD OUT**)
Join us for: a FREE, family-friendly live comic books reading!
WHEN: Sunday 24th September 2023, 10:30 am – 12 noon
WHERE: State Library of WA Theatre

This time we are tackling the Gross and the Weird of kids comics: fish driving tanks, boxing wasps, Einstein lookalike octopods, talking butts and more! We can hear your groans, and know you can’t resist hearing all about it! As a bonus, the experts will guide you on how to make a short comic of your own.
Featuring local kids-comic superstars: James Foley, Campbell Whyte, Sean E Avery and Nathan Vass Viney, plus the energetic maker and MC: Aśka!
