Originally published in 2017, this new full colour edition comes with an extra bonus story!

Sally Tinker – the world’s foremost inventor under the age of twelve – is back. Sally has built a machine capable of enlarging any object, but when she tries resizing a slice of pizza she accidentally enlarges a dung beetle to scary proportions. As the hungry beetle rolls itself a dung ball large enough to crush an entire town, Sally races to shrink down the monster, before it’s too late.

In the bonus story One Small Step for Mammoth, Sally and her team are off to Mars! Rav is taking scientific experiments; Charli is taking a vegetable garden. And baby Joe is taking … a wooly mammoth? Where on Earth did he get a wooly mammoth, and how is it going to fit in the overhead compartment?

Reviews for Dungzilla (2017)

4.5 out of 5 stars. Told in a highly graphic style through illustrated panels, this is a genuinely funny story that’s also packed full of knowledge. Beginner readers aged six to eight will not only laugh themselves stupid at the plethora of poo jokes, they’ll also learn a lot about insects and biology.’
– Junior Books+Publishing

‘I liked the book because it was very action packed and so funny … it was different and like nothing I’ve ever read before … I really enjoyed reading this book and I think other children would enjoy this book too.’
– Aaliyah, age 9, YARR-A

” [The S.Tinker Inc.] books are absolutely hilarious! Some of the funniest books I’ve read. Confident readers will love them but they are great to hook those kids who ‘don’t like reading’ … an invaluable addition to your graphic novel collection.”
– Zac McCallum, My Best Friends Are Books

Huge thanks to Paulina Gamez for her excellent colouring of Dungzilla!

And a big thanks also to Rebecca Mills for her brilliant book design.

One Small Step for Mammoth was originally serialised in The School Magazine in 2019 as ‘Stellarphant’; it featured an elephant instead of a woolly mammoth. After I released my picture book Stellarphant (unrelated to the plot of the Sally Tinker comic), I revised the original School Magazine serial by replacing the elephant with a woolly mammoth, after which it was shared in The West Australian newspaper’s ED section in 2021. I later reformatted it to fit this edition of Dungzilla.
