Stellarphant is a CBCA Honour Book

The Children’s Book Council of Australia awards were announced today, and Stellarphant was awarded an Honour Book in the Picture Book of the Year category!

It’s a great, well, honour! I’m over the moon.

Sincere thanks to the CBCA for running Book Week – it was always my favourite part of the school year as a kid, and now it’s a central part of my working life too, and now this award … it’s wonderful.

Thank you CBCA for supporting my work and the work of all children’s Australian authors and illustrators.

Thank you to the judges of this year’s awards.

And thanks to all the readers of Stellarphant!

Congratulations to Margrete Lamond, Anthony Bertini and Christopher Nielsen whose book One Small Bee was also named as an honour book, and huge congratulations to Claire Saxby and Jess Racklyeft for their book Iceberg which took out the top prize.
