I always enjoy drawing different dog breeds- each has its own unique quirks and character.
Quokka- dog judging (Royal Show)
Author: James Foley
James Foley makes children’s books for children who read books. If you’re a child and you’re eating his books, you’re doing it wrong. His books include the multi-award winning Stellarphant, Brobot, Chickensaurus, Bigfoot vs Yeti, Happy Barry Capybara and Oh No! James lives in Perth with his wife Renae Hayward (also an author), 2 kids (wannabe authors), and a labrador (not an author). He is a massive Marvel movie nerd and comes from a long line of queuing enthusiasts. Follow him on socials ( @jamesfoleybooks ) or at www.jamesfoley.com.au .

Quokka- scooters
There’s a motorcycle and scooter show on in Perth this weekend, hence the topic of this week’s cover.
I don’t think Audrey makes a good quokka, her features are too delicate and feminine. Greg doesn’t look too bad though.
Quokka- Fathers’ Day
Quokka- City to Surf
Every year, thousands of people run the Perth ‘City to Surf‘- there’s a popular 12km route from the CBD to City Beach, a shorter 4km walk/run, and a full marathon course.
Quokka- Wildflowers (Picnic at Wave Rock)
This cover celebrates the beginning of wildflower season in Western Australia. The rock formation in the background is Wave Rock.
Quokka- winery
I had fun with the lighting in this one.
I think this may be the first time I’ve shown alcohol in a quokka cover…. then again it could just be grape juice.
Quokka- spelunking
Spelunking (noun): the hobby or practice of exploring caves (Merriam-Webster online)
